New Delhi, Sep 11, 2015: Four terrorists and two Army soldiers have been killed in an encounter in Jammu and Kashmir’s Handwara district, Army said.
The encounter began on Thursday night at Laribal in Handwara forest area between Armymen of 21 Rashtriya Rifles and militants. Encounter was a joint operation by the Army and the Handwara Police.
Following a specific information about the presence of militants in the area, Special Operation Group (SOG) of police and 21 Rashtriya Rifles of the Army laid the cordon on Thursday night.
Search operation underway, reinforcements rushed to the spot to augment the strength of the security forces.
