48,786 New COVID-19 cases in India, 6% higher than yesterday

New Delhi, July 01, 2021: India recorded 48,786 fresh Covid infections, six per cent higher than yesterday. The total number of deaths are nearing the 4 lakh-mark; 1,005 deaths have been reported since yesterday. The country has recorded 3.04 crore total cases so far.

 

After a tough battle against a deadly second wave, the number of daily recoveries continue to outnumber the number of daily cases for the 49th consecutive day. With 5,23,257 active cases, India’s active caseload is presently 1.72 per cent of the total cases.
