5 killed, 4 hurt in mishap near Kunigal

Tumakuru, Jan 01, 2018 : Five people were killed in an accident that occurred early Monday morning near Gavi Mutt, Kunigal taluk, Tumakuru district.

 

The accident occurred when a car rammed into a parked mini truck.

Police said that the driver crashed into the parked truck when he tried to avoid hitting a boy who came in front of the speeding car.

Apart from the five deaths, four people were injured in the mishap.

The five dead people belong to Choudanakuppe in Kunigal taluk.

The injured were administered first aid at the Tumakuru district hospital and later shifted to Bengaluru for further treatment, police added.
