The bodies were found in a decomposed state. According to the police, they probably died four days ago. It is suspected that the four adults died by suicide.

The deceased have been identified as Bharathi (51), her daughters Sinchana (34) and Sindhoora (34), her son Madhusagar (25) and the yet-to-be-named baby boy.

A two-year-old girl was also found at the house. She has been shifted to the hospital, as per a report in The Times of India.
POLICE INVESTIGATION

The incident was discovered when the house owner called the police and informed them that the tenants were not receiving calls and the house was locked, the deputy commissioner of police (DCP) said.

"The police are searching for a suicide note or any other evidence from the house. We are also trying to find out how the neighbours did not come to know of the incident even after three-four days," DCP (West) Sanjeev M Patil was quoted in the Times of India report.

It is suspected that a family dispute led to the devastating incident. However, it is not yet known for sure. Further investigation in the case is underway.
