50-60 huts burnt in Kolkata slum fire, six fire tenders on the spot

Kolkata, Nov 10, 2020:    A major fire broke out at a slum area in Kolkata’s Topsia on Tuesday.A total of 50-60 shanties in the area were burnt down in the blaze. No casualties have been reported so far.

 

At least six fire engines are at the spot to douse the fire.Locals said they spotted the huts burning at the slum area on Tuesday afternoon.

Meanwhile, the firefighters are investigating how the fire started.
