6 Amarnath Yatra pilgrims killed, several injured in terror attack

Kashmir, Jul 10, 2017 : At least six Amarnath Yatra pilgrims were killed and several injured in a terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district. The terrorists also fired at a police party in Bantigoo area, according to NDTV reports.

 

Reacting to the incident, National Conference leader Omar Abdullah said, “Very sad news. The attack cannot be condemned strongly enough. My sympathies to the families & prayers for the injured.

“The one thing we had all feared this year during the yatra. In spite of recent successes against militants & unprecedented force presence,” he tweeted.
