8-year-old raped, decapitated for ‘abusing’ biker in UP

Bareilly, Sep 07, 2016: An eight-year-old girl was raped and decapitated by a biker as she allegedly abused him when he asked her to move out of his way.

 

The accused Pravesh Singh (26), of Ramnagar Gotiya, was arrested on Wednesday, said Sameer Saurabh, SP (city), Bareilly.

According to police, Parvesh was returning home on Monday when the girl stood in front of his bike near a sugarcane field.

“When I asked her to move aside, she started abusing me, so I slapped her. She lost consciousness and fell on the ground,” Parvesh’s statement to the police read.

Scared on seeing her faint, he took hid her in a nearby cane field. He later returned with a knife, raped the girl and decapitated her, the SP said, adding that he later buried her in the field.

Based on a complaint by the girl’s father, that she was missing, police registered a case and initiated investigation. The body of the girl was recovered from the field on Tuesday.

Parvesh was charged under 302 (murder), 376 (rape) and other sections of the Indian Penal Code and sent to 14 days’ judicial custody by a local court on Wednesday.
