This comes after three people were arrested in Kerala’s Kochi for the ritualistic killing and the human sacrifice of two women.

In this case, the woman identified as Shobana alias Vasanthi was involved in occult practices in Malayalapuzha town of Kerala’s Pathanamthitta district. A child, who was involved in the ritual, reportedly fell unconscious.

As a result, residents in the area are protesting against the police for not taking action. The residents took out a protest, alleging that the Malayalapuzha police had not taken any action despite filing a complaint.

The protesters stated they wouldn’t stop the agitation until the tantric was arrested. According to the residents, the tantric threatened to curse them if anybody opposed her.

After the protest by locals, the woman, Shobana alias Vasanthi was taken into custody by Pathanamthitta police upon the orders of the Deputy Superintendent of Police.

Police stated that her methods could be confirmed only after she was questioned.

Earlier this week, a horrific case of human sacrifice was reported in Kochi district. Two women were lured under false pretences to a house where they were killed in a ritual. Three people, a man, his wife and the broker who facilitated the women’s murder, were arrested.
