Amit Shah discharged from AIIMS after post-COVID care

New Delhi, Aug 31, 2020:    Union Home Minister Amit Shah was on Monday, 31 August, discharged from AIIMS, Delhi, where he had been admitted for post-COVID care.

 

On Saturday, the hospital had said that Shah had recovered and was likely to be discharged in a short time.

The home minister had tested positive for COVID-19 on 2 August and was hospitalised on the advice of doctors. On 14 August, his coronavirus test report came back negative.

However, despite the recovery, he was experiencing fatigue and body ache, and was admitted to Delhi’s AIIMS hospital on 18 August for post-COVID care.
