AIADMK legislators gathered at the Apollo Hospitals in Chennai amid speculation that the party was looking at a successor to Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa.
The legislators have assembled inside a hall in the Apollo complex.
Jayalalithaa’s condition is "extremely grave", Richard Beale, a London-based doctor who is assisting doctors here, said on Monday.
Beale, from the London Bridge Hospital, has been regularly consulted by doctors at the Apollo Hospitals here ever since Jayalalithaa was admitted in September.
Her condition is critical, but I have seen patients recovering from such illness; she is a fighter: Tamilisai Soundararajan, Tamil Nadu BJP Chief
She detained me under POTA but apart from politics I treat her like sister. She will come out of crisis: MDMK chief Vaiko.
