New Delhi, May 21, 2015: Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilizers Ananth Kumar on Thursday said the NDA government will not hike the price of urea for the next four years.
Speaking at the Aaj Tak Manthan programme in New Delhi, Kumar stressed on the need for the use of balanced fertilizers in the country and reduce dependency on urea. Kumar also highlighted his government’s initiative to provide soil health card to all farmers for effective farming.
Currently, the country is facing shortage of urea, an important fertilizing component, that is widely used by farmers.
Answering questions from the audience, the Union minister highlighted the government’s imitative to improve rural life coining a slogan. "Modi sarkar, Vikas lagaatar (Continuous growth under Modi government) is the new mantra of this government," said Kumar.

Denying the charge that this government is involved in only sloganeering, the BJP MP from Bengaluru (South) said, "We are doing what have promised."
The day-long programme organised by the TV Today Network will see various leaders from the government and the opposition debate on one year of the Narendra Modi government at the Centre.
