Anna Hazare Demands Public Hanging Of Afzal, Kasab

Ralegan Siddhi, Sept 8: Gandhian activist Anna Hazare on Thursday morning called for public hanging of terrorists like Afzal Guru and Ajmal Kasab to teach the terrorists a lesson.

 
Speaking to mediapersons here, Hazare said government must take stringent action and carry out sentences given to terrorists convicted of heinous crimes.
 
Afzal Guru is the main convict in Parliament House attack case, and his death sentence has been approved by the Supreme Court. His mercy petition was forwarded by Home Minister only recently to the President.
 
Ajmal Kasab, the lone Pakistani terrorist caught by a Mumbai police head constable during the 26/11 Mumbai attacks, has his written letter seeking review of death sentence pending before the Supreme Court. All of Kasab’s colleagues, all Lashakar-e-Toiba men, trained and sent by Pakistan, were killed in the Mumbai attacks.
