Another rape in Bangalore: After 6-year-old, it’s a 17-year-old seminary student

Bangalore, July 18, 2014:   The Jt Commessioner of Police Bangalore told media that according to complaint received on July 17. A minor girl  student aspirant to a community of  nuns was allegedly raped in the city’s north-east suburb on July 16 by three unidentified men.

bangalore.The incident is reported by the victim residing at the Sisters of Holy Nativity Institution at Hennur  After forcibly entering her room and  sexually assaulting the student, they escaped  leaving the victim unconscious. The incident occurred when the victim was on the ground floor, while others were on the above floors of the building.

"The victim is under medical attention at St John’s Hospital a case is registered for sexual assault under section 376 of the IPC (Indian Penal Code) and investigation is on,"  it was said. Police have commenced an all out hunt to trace the absconding unidentified accused.

This  incident came to light on a day when hundreds of parents were protesting against the management of a private school in the city’s south-east where a six-year-old minor was allegedly sexually assaulted by two staff members July 2 during school hours. 

It is stated police registered a case under section 376 of the IPC against the accused and have detained them for interrogation after the victim’s parents lodged a complaint July 14 in the local police station.
