BJP MP Tejasvi Surya ties the knot with carnatic singer Sivasri Skandaprasad

Bengaluru, March 6, 2025: Bengaluru South MP Tejasvi Surya tied the knot carnatic vocalist Sivasri Skandaprasad in a traditional ceremony in Bengaluru.

First pictures of the couple are out on social media. While Surya wore a white and gold outfit, Skandaprasad was seen wearing a beautiful yellow Kanchipuram silk saree along with gold jewellery.

 

In another set of photos, the bride is seen in red-maroon saree, while the BJP MP is in an off-white outfit.

The wedding was attended by close family and friends, along with a select group of political associates. The images showed political leaders, including BJP leaders Annamalai, Pratap Simha, Amit Malaviya, BY Vijayendra and Union Minister V Somanna attending the wedding.

Who is Sivasri Skandaprasad?

Sivasri Skandaprasad is a versatile artist celebrated for her expertise in Carnatic music, Bharatanatyam, and visual arts, seamlessly blending traditional and contemporary expressions.

She is trained in classical Carnatic music under Guru AS Murali and has performed at prestigious platforms such as Brahma Gana Sabha and Kartik Fine Arts.

Skandaprasad has performed across international borders, where she has participated in cultural exchange programs in Denmark and South Korea. Academically, she holds a bioengineering degree from SASTRA University and a master’s in Bharatanatyam from the University of Madras.
