BJP crisis continues as focus shifts to Delhi

yaddiBangalore, Nov 3: The crisis in the ruling BJP camp in the state still continues with the focus now shifted towards the high command. The rebel leaders including the Reddys and the CM’s post aspirant Jagadish Shettar held a series of meetings with the top brass of the BJP including LK Advani and Sushma Swaraj. Sources revealed that the BJP leadership made it clear to the rebels that there would be no change in the chief ministership.

According to one source, the rebel camp has claimed tht it has the support of 60 MLAs. Meanwhile, Karnataka BJP President DV Sadananda Gowda also made it clear to the high command that there was no problem in making Shettar a cabinet minister immediately, though Shettar claimed that he who belongs to the Lingayat community to which the CM also belongs, enjoys vast support in the state. Shetty also reportedly told the high command that the people have lost faith in Yaddyurappa’s leadership. The other demands placed forth by the detractors are -to oust Panchayatraj and Rural Development Minister Shobha Karandlaje and PM’s Chief Secretary VP Balegar.

It is learnt, a list of demands of the Yaddyurappa faction was also placed before the rebels by the leadership. This camp has demanded that state ministers Goolihatti Shekhar, Anand Asnotikar and Shivanagowda Naik, be sacked.
