BSF jawan killed in militant ambush near Tripura border

Tripura, Aug 19, 2022: A Border Security Force (BSF) personnel died in the line of duty following a militant ambush near the Tripura border on Friday. The soldier, identified as Girish Kumar Yadav, suffered bullet injuries and was declared brought dead at a hospital in Agartala.

 

Girish Kumar Yadav was part of the 145 battalion under the Kanchanbari sub-division of North Tripura district.

According to sources, the BSF jawan was hit by four bullets in the militant ambush. Yadav was airlifted to Agartala in a chopper but was declared brought dead.
