Bangalore, Nov 6: A girl has been accused of killing her fiancee in Bangalore. The police say that the girl had hatched a conspiracy to know some details from her fiancee but finally killed him. The girl has been identified as Saumya and her dead fiancee as Nitesh.
Saumya has been accused of taking the help of one of her friend’s to kill Nitesh who used to live in Bangalore Rajajinagar. Nitesh’s body was found outside the city on October 21. The police got some evidences from the spot where the 25-year-old software engineer’s body was found.
The police also recovered a mobile phone and call records revealed several details about the murder, on the basis of which Saumya was arrested. According to the police, Saumya, a student of psychology, smilingly confessed that she and her friend had killed Nitesh. According to the police Saumya was not repentant for killing Nitesh. Saumya said that she met Nitesh on Facebook and two slowly came close, finally getting engaged. Saumya said that Nitesh had resigned from his job a few days ago and his behaviour had also changed.
Nitesh’s changed behaviour created suspicion in Saumya’s mind and she decided to know the truth. She planned to use her knowledge of psychology to force Nitesh to speak to truth. On October 21, Saumya took Nitesh to Shilindra Doddi, outside Bangalore on the pretext of spending some time together. There she gave him vodka mixed with ammonium sulphate to drink. Police claim that Saumya believed that Nitesh would speak the truth under the influence of ammonium sulphate. But Nitesh started vomiting due to an overdose of ammonium sulphate. Saumya panicked and stuffed paper napkin in his mouth and as a result Nitesh became unconscious. Then Saumya decided to kill him and called her friend Parsavanath. They crushed his head with a stone to hide his identity.
But a hair clip belonging to Saumya was left behind at the murder spot which the police recovered. Moreover, the mobile found near Nitesh’s body showed that the last call was made to Saumya following which the police arrested her and her friend.
