Chhotu Kumar hails from Javatari village under Barhat police station area. When one of his wives, Manju’s brother, Vikas, came to Jamui station on Monday evening to go to Kolkata, he spotted Chhotu with some other woman and informed his family about this.

Wife Manju’s mother (Chhotu’s mother-in-law) Kobia Devi told the police that in 2018, her daughter got married to Chhotu and both had two children. Around 1.5 years ago, Chhotu had left the house on the pretext of bringing medicine but never came back.

Vikas said, “Here, my sister has been waiting for so long but he was calling that woman his wife.”

Kobiya Devi said, “Chhotu has cheated on us. He is also married to Kalavati Devi, a resident of Ranchi, and both also have four children.”

Police said Chhotu worked as a singer in Deoghar’s Maa Sharda Orchestra. He married women from Chinawaria, Sunderkand, Ranchi, Sangrampur, Delhi and Deoghar and had children with everyone.
