Bus carrying BJP workers for PM’s rally in Chhattisgarh meets with accident, 2 dead

Bilaspur, July 07, 2023: Two people were killed and 12 others sustained injuries after a bus collided with a trailer parked on the roadside in Chhattisgarh’s Bilaspur district on Friday.

The bus, carrying 47 BJP workers, was travelling from Ambikapur to Raipur to attend PM Modi’s rally.

The bus crossed Korba district and reached near Beltara in Bilaspur district when it collided with a trailer parked on the roadside at 5 am.

The bus driver was reportedly caught off guard as he was sleepy and lost control of the vehicle.

Two people died on the spot while 12 others were injured in the accident. Locals immediately informed the police, who later reached the spot. The injured were admitted to Apollo Hospital for treatment.

An investigation has been initiated to find out the exact cause of the accident.
