Bengaluru: May 23, 2016, DHNS: City boy Viraj Ananth has topped the all India Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) this year. A student of Vidyashilp Academy in Jakkur, Viraj (18) secured 92 per cent in SSLC, and always wanted to pursue law after his pre-university.
Viraj’s mother Sapna Ramaswamy is a teacher and his father, Ananth Ramaswamy, works for a multi-national corporation, and are residents of Sadashivanagar.
Viraj, a skilled debater, runs a public-speaking startup for students here. He has participated in numerous public speaking competitions at the national and international levels from a young age. Not a fan of the sciences, he had co-founded a startup called Inter-mind Global, aimed at helping students groom public speaking skills and boost their self-confidence.
Study routine
Talking about his achievement, Viraj said, “I am not academically oriented, and don’t like to wake up early in the morning to study. I concentrated on general knowledge and followed a study pattern with several mock tests,” he said, thanking his family and friends for their support.
Viraj said he studied for CLAT for at least seven hours per day from December, but put in more time from March. Viraj plans to pursue a course at National Law School of India University here.
