Bengaluru, Mar 5, 2018 (DC): Twenty-four-year-old Vidwath, who was undergoing treatment at the Mallya Hospital after he was mercilessly beaten up Mohammed Nalapad Haris, son of Shanthinagar MLA N.A. Haris, and his henchmen was discharged from the hospital on Sunday.
He was admitted to the hospital on the night of February 17 immediately after the attack. The doctors had written the discharge summary on Saturday that he has completely recovered and was fit for discharge. He was discharged around 7 pm on Sunday..
Meanwhile, the Central Crime Branch (CCB) officials probing the assault case recorded the statement of Vidwath’s brother Satvik on Sunday.
After the assault at the café, Nalapad and his henchmen had threatened Vidwath at Mallya Hospital, where he was admitted for treatment. Vidwath’s friend Praveen had taken him to hospital and Satvik later joined him.
In his statement Satvik said that he rushed to Mallya hospital after getting a call and was informed that Nalapad and his gang were at the hospital. He told the CCB officials that Nalapad and his men confronted and threatened him with dire consequences.
On Saturday, the CCB recorded Vidwath’s statement and he told the police that he was beaten mercilessly by Nalapad and his men. The scuffle broke out when his leg accidentally touched Nalapad.
The CCB has sent all the collected evidence to the FSL team for a detailed examination and is awaiting the report.
Mohammed Nalapad Haris and six others moved Karnataka High Court on Monday challenging the rejection of their bail by the 63rd Sessions Court. The court said that the matter will be heard on March 7.
