Canadian woman raped in Delhi, left in unconscious state near AIIMS

New Delhi, June 28: Adding to the spate of crimes against women in the national capital yet another incident has come to light. A Canadian woman was found in an unconscious state near AIIMS hospital on Tuesday night.

The woman said that a man identified as Abhishek whom she befriended two days ago raped her and left her near the spot.

The police have arrested the accused and produced him before the Magistrate on Wednesday. The police said that the woman told them that she had met Abhishek at a pub in Hauz Khas village.

The woman, a Canadian national, said that she went to the residence of the accused after she was invited. She alleged that the accused later sexually assaulted her at his residence.
