Chiyaan Vikram suffers heart attack, admitted to hospital in Chennai

Chennai, July 08, 2022: Chiyaan Vikram suffered a heart attack and has been rushed to Kauvery hospital in Chennai. He underwent angioplasty yesterday, July 7. The hospital is yet to share an update regarding his health. Sources in the hospital confirmed that the actor is stable. He was supposed to attend the teaser launch of his upcoming film, Ponniyin Selvan, which is scheduled to happen later today at 6 pm in Chennai.

 

Chiyaan Vikram is waiting for the release of his upcoming film, Ponniyin Selvan. The film’s first part is all set to hit the theatres on September 30.

On July 7, Chiyaan Vikram complained of uneasiness and was rushed to Kauvery hospital for treatment. The actor suffered a heart attack and he underwent angioplasty. Sources in the hospital revealed that the actor is in stable condition. He is expected to be discharged today. Soon, a medical bulletin is expected to be out.

On Thursday, Vikram had informed Ponniyin Selvan team that he wouldn’t be attending the teaser launch today. He will rest for a couple of days and will attend the audio launch of his upcoming film, Cobra, which is slated to happen on Monday, July 11.

Chiyaan Vikram is one of the popular actors in the Tamil film industry. He was last seen in Karthik Subbaraj’s Mahaan, which was released on Amazon Prime Video. He is now waiting for the release of Ponniyin Selvan. His upcoming film, Cobra, with director Ajay Gnanamuthu is scheduled for a grand release later this year. On the work front, he has a film with director Pa Ranjith, which is yet to go on floors.
