Class 8 girl in Bihar stabbed 8 times in 13 seconds for resisting molestation, accused held

New Delhi, Dec 23, 2021: A class 8 student in Bihar’s Gopalganj district was stabbed multiple times by her alleged stalker after she resisted molestation attempts by him.

 

According to a report in Dainik Bhaskar, the incident took place on December 19 in Bihar’s Gopalganj district. The report stated that the girl was returning home from school with her two friends.

Suddenly, the accused, who was in hiding with his accomplices, attacked her with a knife. The accused reportedly stabbed the victim eight times in 13 seconds.

The CCTV footage of the incident, shared widely on social media, shows the accused repeatedly jabbing at the girl even as a person tries to pull him away.

The girl was rushed to the Sadar hospital in Gopalganj. She was later referred to Patna Medical College for better treatment.

The police have arrested the accused based on the CCTV footage, the report said.

According to the victim’s family members, the accused had tried to molest her several times earlier when she used to go to study.
