Congress gram panchayat memeber killed in Malda

Malda , May 18, 2016: A local Congress leader was hacked to death by assailants in Kaliachak area here, police said on Wednesday.

 

Serajul Ali (43), a Congress gram panchayat member of Alinagar, was called out of his house by some people.

As he didn’t return home even after considerable time, his relatives informed the police and his body was found in a field, SP Syed Waqar Raza said.

As per preliminary investigation, Raza said, trade related issues could be the reason for the murder of Ali who was a businessman.

However, further investigation was on.
