Bangalore, March 23: The Karnataka High Court on Tuesday quashed the plea of Swami Nityananda who sought the court’s directions for a stay on the cases filed against him following tapes of his alleged sex romp with Tamil actress Ranjitha.

This has blocked his visit to the city as Swami had planned to come back to Bangalore after putting the ongoing investigations on hold.

Dismissing the petition, the court also ordered the Bidadi police to update the court and the government about the progress of the investigations by March 26.
