Crime Branch raids Ragini Dwivedi’s Bengaluru home after actress changes phone

Bengaluru, Sep 04, 2020: The Central Crime Branch (CCB) is conducting raids at Kannada actress Ragini Dwivedi’s house in connection to the ongoing Sandalwood drug racket case. The raids began at 6.30 am today with six male cops and a female cop. Ragini was summoned by the CCB on September 3, but the actress had sent her advocates to appear before the officers. In an Instagram post, she also wrote that she received the summon at a short notice, which is why she couldn’t appear.

The CCB officers have taken Ragini Dwivedi to the Central Crime Branch (CCB) for interrogation.

Ragini Dwivedi was present at her house in Bengaluru during. She had changed her mobile phone yesterday and hence the CCB approached the court for the search warrant. The court granted the warrant and the raids began on the morning of September 4.

On August 21, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) had busted a drug racket in Karnataka and arrested several drug peddlers. In one of the accused’s diary, nearly 15 names of celebrities from the Kannada film industry have been mentioned.

A few days ago, Ragini’s friend Ravi was arrested by the cops. After interrogating Ravi, the CCB officials received information regarding the Kannada actress’s involvement in the drug case.

Ragini Dwivedi on Thursday took to Instagram stories to reveal why she couldn’t appear before the CCB on September 3. She further added that she is committed to appear before them on Monday (September 7) morning.

After the CCB busted the drug racket, film director Indrajit Lankesh made some explosive statements and volunteered to expose celebrities. The CCB has decided to summon Indrajit yet again and give him an opportunity to provide evidence to back his claims.
