Bengaluru, December 10, 2024: The Karnataka Lokayukta on Tuesday launched simultaneous raids on the properties of nine government officials across six districts.
The operation, which is a part of investigations into disproportionate assets cases, involves searches at over 20 locations linked to these officials.
According to Lokayukta sources, the raids are underway in Bengaluru city and across the State, including Gadag, Kalaburagi, Raichur, and Chitradurga.
The officials are conducting checks at the properties of Lokesh Babu, Superintendent Engineer, Bescom; Suresh Babu, Revenue Inspector, Uttarahali; MC Sunil Kumar, District Health Officer; Nanjundaiah, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Police Training School; Laxman, Second Division Officer; Ramappa, Superintendent Engineer, Kalaburagi Mahanagara Palike; Ramesh, Inspector, Excise Department; Suresh, Assistant Conservator of Forest.
Lokayukta officials are thoroughly examining documents, assets, cash, and other valuables belonging to the government officials.
This marks the third major operation by Lokayukta in the last 40 days. Similar raids were conducted on November 12 and November 23, unearthing assets worth crores of rupees.
