Odisha, Dec 30, 2019: An Ayurvedic doctor was dragged, made to kneel down on street and apologize in full public glare by Bajrang Dal members allegedly for hurting religious sentiments of a particular community in Jharigaon area of Nabaranpur district of Odisha.
Bhavtosh Mondol, an Ayurvedic doctor by profession, had set up a clinic for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) in the area a few months ago. He was accused of using images of Hindu gods and goddess, Radha-Krishna in the promotional posters of his clinic. This has outraged local Bajrang Dal activists in the area.
In order to teach Bhavtosh a lesson, the activists reached his clinic, thrashed and dragged him to the street and demanded a public apology from him.
Notably, the whole act of the ’Kangaroo Court’ trial was caught on camera and went viral on social media. Despite that, no complaint has been registered in connection with the case by local police.
