Ex-RSS chief KS Sudarshan passes away

Raipur Sep 15, 2012 : KS Sudarshan, the former chief of the right-wing Hindu organization the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), passed away in Raipur in Chhattisgarh early on Saturday.


dis 1Sudarshan, 81, died of heart attack, reports claimed. He is survived by a brother.

Born in 1931, Sudarshan was a telecommunication engineer. According to sources, Sudarshan was reported to be suffering from dementia. There were reports about him going missing in Mysore and was later trced after seven hours.

Sudarshan hailed from Kuppalli village of K R Pete taluk of Mandya District in Karnataka. He served as RSS Pracharak for six decades. He became RSS Sarasanghachalak in 2000 and held the post till 2009.

After retiring from the post of RSS chief, Sudarshan had been living in Bhopal. His cremation will take place tomorrow.
