Former PM Deve Gowda goes on indefinite hunger strike outside Vidhana Soudha in Bengaluru

Bengaluru, Oct 01, 2016: Former prime minister of India HD Deve Gowda has gone on an indefinite hunger strike from Friday near the Gandhi statue in Vidhana Soudha in Bengaluru after the Supreme Court’s verdict on the Cauvery water dispute.

The apex court on Friday ruled that the Karnataka government would have to release 6,000 cusecs of Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu for six days.
