New Delhi, Jan 12, 2022: Former Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh on Wednesday said that he tested positive for Covid-19. Singh said he had mild symptoms.
The development comes nearly a month before the state goes to polls on February 14.
Taking to Twitter, Singh wrote: "I have tested positive for Covid with mild symptoms. Have isolated myself and request all those who came in contact with me to get themselves tested."
The former Congress leader recently launched his own political party - the Punjab Lok Congress - and has allied with the BJP.
Punjab goes to polls on February 14 and the results will be announced on March 10.
