Four women, security guard found dead in New Delhi’s Shahdara

Oct 07, 2017: Four women of the same family and a security guard were found dead in a house in Shahdara’s MS Park area on Saturday morning. The bodies of Urmila Jindal (65) and her three daughters Sangeeta Gupta (56), Nupur Jindal (48) and Anjali Jindal (38) were found with their neck slit at their residence at about 7.20 am. The bodies have also multiple stab wounds, said police. The security guard of the house Rakesh was also found dead.

A team of police led by the area Deputy Commissioner of Police (Shahadara) Nupur Prasad rushed to the spot and started the probe. Initial probe has revealed property dispute behind the murder. DCP Prasad said the entry seemed to be friendly.

Police said the family owns Jindal Oil Mill in the national capital. Recently, the family had sold a plot worth crores which led to a dispute. However, the police said that they were investigating the case from all possible angles. The forensic and crime teams were also collecting evidences from the spot.
