Gujarat’s porngate: BJP members allegedly viewed obscene photos on phone in Assembly

Ahmedabad, March 21, 2012: The BJP has another porngate on its hands, this time in Gujarat. In the Gujarat assembly, two members of the BJP have allegedly been seen looking at obscene photos on a cellphone. The Speaker of the assembly has yet to comment on the allegations.  Local media says the allegations against the BJP have been made by a journalist.   

 
Janakbhai Purohit, the journalist who filed the complaint, said the MLAs looked at obscene photos of women.  He says he has filed a complaint against the MLAs with the Speaker.
 
Earlier this year, three ministers in the Karnataka assembly, where the BJP is in power, were accused of watching porn on a cellphone. The ministers were forced to resign. A committee set up there by the Speaker of the house has concluded that there was evidence to indict one of them.
