HC stays summons to Yediyurappa in POCSO case

Bengaluru, March 14, 2025: The Karnataka High Court on Friday provided relief to former CM and senior BJP leader B S Yediyurappa, who was scheduled to appear before the court on March 15 in connection with a POCSO case, ANI reported.

The High Court has stayed the summons to Yediyurappa by the Lower Court.

A special court for cases involving legislators had on February 28 issued summons to Yediyurappa, returnable by March 15, 2025, after taking fresh cognizance of the chargesheet filed by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) under the provisions of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
