Jharkhand, Dec 29, 2019: Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) leader Hemant Soren on Sunday took oath as the 11th Chief Minister of the mineral rich state. Governor Draupadi Murmu will administered the oath of office and secrecy to Hemant in the presence of a galaxy of leaders.
The event took place at Morabadi ground in Ranchi. Hemant will be eleventh Chief Minister of Jharkhand which was carved out of Bihar in 2000. The JMM-Congress-RJD alliance secured a comfortable majority in the just held Assembly elections. The alliance pocketed 47 seats in the 81-member Legislative Assembly. The BJP was restricted to just 25 seats.
