Hezbollah drone targeting Netanyahu’s residence hits Israeli town

Israel, October 19, 2024: A drone “targeting” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s residence hit the central town of Caesarea in Israel on Saturday. There were, however, no casualties as he and his wife Sara were not at home, said his office.

According to Times of Israel, the prime minister’s office confirmed the has hit a central town where Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s residence is located. There were no casualties while two other drones were intercepted.

The IRNA quoted Hebrew-language sources saying that a Hezbollah drone hit Caesarea, where Netanyahu’s residence is located. The military said a drone spotted crossing into the country from Lebanon “hit a structure in the area of Caesarea”, without elaborating.

The Prime Minister’s Office confirms that the premier’s private residence in Caesarea was targeted in a drone attack from Lebanon earlier this morning.

In a short statement, the PMO says that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife Sara were not home at the time of the attack and that there were no injuries in the incident.

Two other drones fired from Lebanon this morning were downed by air defenses, triggering sirens in the Tel Aviv area.
