Hindu temple in Canada vandalised with anti-India graffiti, 2nd incident in four months

New Delhi, April 06, 2023: A Hindu temple in Canada’s Ontario was vandalised with anti-India graffiti on Wednesday. A similar incident of vandalism occurred on January 31 when a Hindu temple in Canada’s Brampton was defaced with anti-India graffiti.

The Windsor Police released CCTV footage showing two suspects spray painting on the walls of the Hindu temple and said it is investigating the incident as a "hate-motivated incident".

 


The miscreants had spray-painted "Hindustan Murdabad" and "Declare Modi terrorist (BBC)" on the exterior wall of the Hindu temple.

In the footage, the suspects were seen just after 12 am on Wednesday with one of them keeping watch while the other vandalises the building.

The Windsor Police released a description of the suspects and asked residents in the immediate vicinity of the temple to check their home surveillance or dashcam video footage between 11 pm and 1 am for evidence.
