Hyderabad College Student Allegedly Killed by Senior Inside Classroom

Hyderabad, Nov 30:  A second year college student in Hyderabad has died after allegedly being beaten by a senior inside his classroom on Saturday.

The victim, Harshavardhan Rao, had reportedly objected to his senior allegedly teasing a girl in his class.

Angered by this, the senior student allegedly came to Harshavardhan’s classroom and hit him.

 

Harshavardhan’s head reportedly hit a bench and he fell unconscious. He was shifted to a local hospital, where he died after a few hours.

Police have booked a case of murder under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code.

"It was a fight between two students. The senior student struck Harshavardhan during the fight.  Harshavardhan hit a bench and became unconscious. He was taken to the hospital, where he died," said Investigating Officer G Srinivas.
