New Delhi, Mar 17, 2015:  Hours after Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal returned to Delhi on Monday, four senior Aam Aadmi Party leaders met founder member Yogendra Yadav at his residence. Mr Yadav and another senior leader Prashant Bhushan were recently sacked from a key panel of the party.

The talks between Mr Yadav and AAP leaders Sanjay Singh, Kumar Vishwas, Ashish Khetan and Ashutosh, continued late into the night as they discussed damage control after the crisis that has wracked the party days after it swept the Delhi elections.

Sources close to Mr Yadav described Monday’s talks as "positive" and said efforts for a reconciliation will continue.

"Colleagues from AAP came to meet me,  we had a good talk. The talks will continue and we will let you know if and when we reach a decision," Mr Yadav said after the midnight meeting.

"Kumar Vishwas said, "We are all members of the same family and we are talking to each other, you will be informed when a decision is reached."

Arvind Kejriwal was on a flight back to Delhi after a 10-day break at a health farm in Bengaluru, when Prashant Bhushan struck a conciliatory note saying he had sought a meeting with the AAP chief. "I want to meet Arvind and end the controversy; will want to talk to him one-on-one when he reaches Delhi," he said. Sources said that meeting could happen soon.

Mr Bhushan and Mr Yadav earned the party’s ire by questioning what they called unilateral decisions taken by Mr Kejriwal. They were sacked from the Political Affairs Committee or PAC of the Aam Aadmi Party earlier this month for "anti-party activities." Among those who voted against them were the four leaders who met Mr Yadav last night.

There were indications that Mr Bhushan and Mr Yadav would now be sacked from the party at a meeting on the 28th of March, a move said to have had Mr Kejriwal’s approval.
