In Indore, Woman Catches Man Who Grabbed Her Chain

Indore, Dec 01, 2014:  A woman in Indore set an example of courage and bravery on Saturday when she chased down a man who snatched her gold chain and handed him over to the police.

Nirmala Pandit, who takes private tuition classes in Haridwar, was visiting relatives in Indore.

Around noon on Saturday, a man snatched a chain off her neck and tried to flee. Nirmala, instead of panicking, ran behind the chain snatcher and caught him after a chase of about a kilometre.

On Sunday, the police honoured Nirmala with a Rs. 10,000 cash reward.
