India coronavirus tally over 96.4 lakh with 36,011 fresh cases, 482 new deaths

New Delhi, Dec 06, 2020:    The coronavirus situation seems tapering down in the country. With 36,011 new Covid-19 infections, India’s total cases rise to 96,44,222.

 

482 new deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours. The total number of deaths reported so far is 1,40,182.

The total number of active coronavirus cases is 4,03,248. The number of discharged cases stands at 91,00,792 with 41,970 new discharges in the last 24 hours.

Daily fresh cases remain below 50,000 as a million tests are conducted daily, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has said.

Meanwhile, the Union health ministry earlier said that the country does not need to vaccinate all of its 1.3 billion people if it manages to break the transmission of coronavirus.
