India records 10,229 new Covid-19 cases, 9.2% lower than yesterday

New Delhi, Nov 15, 2021: India registered 10,229 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, which is 9.2% lower than yesterday, according to data released by the Union Health Ministry on Monday. The total caseload now stands at 3,44,47,536.

Kerala registered the maximum Covid-19 cases at 5,848, followed by Maharashtra (956), West Bengal (875), Tamil Nadu (805) and Odisha (262).

These five states account for 85.5% of the new Covid-19 cases. Kerala is alone responsible for 57.17% of the new cases.

Total fatalities increased to 4,63,655 after 125 deaths were reported in the country in the last 24 hours. Maximum casualties were reported in Kerala (65), followed by Maharashtra with 18 daily deaths.

India’s recovery rate now stands at 98.26% after 11,926 patients were discharged in the last 24 hours. The total recoveries stand at 3,38,49,785 across the country.

In the last 24 hours, active cases declined by 1,822. The active caseload is now 1,34,096.
India has administered 30,20,119 doses in the last 24 hours, taking the total tally of doses to 1,12,34,30,478. A total of 9,15,198 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.
