India records 11,649 new cases, 90 Covid-19 deaths in 24 hours; total tally at 1,09,16,589

New Delhi, Feb 15, 2021:      India on Monday registered 11,649 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, taking the total tally to 1,09,16,589, according to the latest figures released by the Union Health Ministry.

 

India recorded 90 deaths due to the novel coronavirus in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of Covid-related deaths in the country to 1,55,732.

A total of 9,489 people in the country were discharged from hospitals across the country after recovering from the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Minstry’s data stated. With this, a total of 1,06,21,220, who tested positive for the coronavirus, were discharged from the hospitals across the country after recovering from the infection so far.

There are a total of 1,39,637 active cases till 8 am on Monday, the health ministry said.

A total of 82,85,295 people have been vaccinated against the Covid-19 in country ever since the mass inoculation drive began in January this year.
