India reports 11,850 fresh Covid cases, 555 deaths in last 24 hours

New Delhi, Nov 13, 2021: India registered 11,850 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, 5.3 per cent lower than Friday, bringing the total caseload to 3,44,26,036.

 

As many as 555 deaths were reported in the country in the last 24 hours, increasing the total reported death count to 4,63,245.

The top five states which have registered maximum cases are Kerala with 6,674 cases, followed by Maharashtra with 925 cases, West Bengal with 860 cases, Tamil Nadu with 812 cases and Mizoram with 669 cases, according to the latest data shared by the union government.

Around 83.89 per cent of the new cases are reported from these five states, with Kerala alone responsible for 56.32 per cent of the new cases.Maximum casualties were reported in Kerala (471), followed by Maharashtra with 41 daily deaths.

The last time it was higher than this was 15 days ago, on October 29, 2021, when India reported 805 deaths.A total of 12,403 patients recovered in the last 24 hours, which brings the total recoveries to 3,38,26,483 across the country. India’s recovery rate now stands at 98.26 per cent.

India’s active caseload stands at 1,36,308. In the last 24 hours, active cases declined by 1,108.

India has administered a total of 58,42,530 doses in the last 24 hours, which brings the total tally of doses administered to 1,11,40,48,134.

A total of 12,66,589 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.
