India reports 9,765 new Covid-19 cases, 477 fatalities in last 24 hours

New Delhi, Dec 02, 2021: India reported 9,765 new Covid-19 cases and 477 fatalities in the last 24 hours, according to data shared by the Union Health Ministry on Thursday.
This brings the country’s cumulative caseload to 3,45,63,749. A total of 8,548 patients recovered in the last 24 hours, bringing the total recoveries across the country to 3,40,37,054. The recovery rate is now at 98.35 per cent.

India’s active caseload stands at 99,763. Active cases account for less than one per cent of total cases, currently at 0.29 per cent. This is the lowest since March 2020.
India has conducted 64.35 crore Covid-19 tests till date, according to the Health Ministry data.
A total of 124.96 crore vaccine doses have been administered across the country so far.
