India’s tally of coronavirus cases rise to 3,54,065 with 11,903 deaths

New Delhi, Jun 17, 2020: India’s coronavirus related death count recorded a massive jump of over 2000 in the last 24 hours while the number of new COVID-19 cases reported is 10974. The total tally of coronavirus cases jumped to 3,54,065 including 1,86,935 cured cases and 11,903 deaths. The recovery rate is at 52.79%, as per the latest Union Health Ministry data.

 

India is the world’s fourth worst-hit nation in terms of a total number of confirmed cases it is just behind the US, Brazil and Russia and is ranked sixth with regard to the number of recoveries, after the US, Brazil, Russia, Italy and Germany.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been holding consultations with chief ministers of all states on Tuesday (June 16) and Wednesday (June 17) to discuss ways to conrol the spread of the virus.

A total of 2003 fatalities have been reported in the last 24 hours while the number of new COVID-19 cases is 10974. The recovery rate is at 52.79%.

India’s total coronavirus cases jumped to 354065 which includes 186935 cured cases and 11903 deaths.

Beijing reported 31 new confirmed domestically transmitted COVID-19 cases and six new asymptomatic cases on Tuesday, the municipal health commission said on Wednesday. (IANS)
