Indian student in UK carries drunk woman to his flat, rapes her

New Delhi, June 18, 2023: According to the UK police, a student from India has been arrested in the United Kingdom for sexually assaulting an intoxicated and semi-conscious woman he met at a club last year.
The individual in question is Preet Vikal, aged 20, who allegedly brought the heavily intoxicated woman to his apartment in Cardiff, UK, and raped her in June of the previous year.

CCTV showed Preet Vikal carrying the victim in his arms and later across his shoulders out of the city centre.

Preet and the woman had separately gone out with their respective groups of friends in Cardiff when they encountered each other. Authorities stated that the victim had consumed a significant amount of alcohol and, by the end of the night, was clearly in an incapacitated state. Upon stepping outside the club, she encountered Preet Vikal, engaging in conversation and subsequently separating from their groups.
A video has surfaced online showing Preet Vikal carrying the woman in his arms and later on his shoulders as he took her to his flat through the streets of Cardiff.
According to reports, after bringing the woman to his residence, Preet took a photograph of her as a "trophy" and shared it with his friends.
Despite the ordeal, the woman bravely provided a detailed account of the incident to the authorities. She expressed feelings of distress, sleeplessness, and guilt as a consequence of Preet’s actions, according to the police.
Through security camera footage and messages exchanged on Instagram with the woman, law enforcement officials were able to identify Preet Vikal.
