Inspector of Anti Narcotics Cell among five held in rave raid in Mumbai

Mumbai, June 27, 2011: A rave party in the Raigad district near Mumbai was busted by the police late on Sunday night where about 300 people were rounded up.

Police said that most of those rounded-up were in the age-group of 20 to 25 years and a huge amount of drugs was also seized.

Ten youths were also detained during the raid at hotel Mount View at Karjat, 100 km away from Mumbai, they said, adding that a large quantity of drugs has been recovered from the hotel.

Anti-narcotics unit Inspector Anil Jadhav has been arrested for attending the rave party.

The police raid, ironically, comes at a day when the entire country observed ’Anti-Narcotics Day’.
