J&K: Four terrorists killed in two encounters at Shopian and Pulwama

Srinagar, Dec 25, 2021: Atleast four terrorists were killed in two separate encounters in Shopian and Pulwama districts of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday.

Two Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militants were gunned down in Shopian and two unidentified ultras were killed in Pulwama, the police said.

 

The militants killed at Shopian have been identified as Sajad Ahmad Chak and Raja Basit Yaqoob of Achan Litter in Pulwama. They were linked with proscribed terror outfit LeT.

J&K Police DGP Dilbagh Singh in a statement said, "Another operation was launched on a specific police input in Tral area of Awantipora by Kupwara and Awantipora police and local security forces. In the ensuing encounter, two terrorists were killed. As many as five terrorists have been killed in three operations in less than 36 hours. Apart from this, a killer module of TRF has been arrested in Srinagar."

Police recovered a cache of arms and ammunition including two AK series rifles, four AK magazines and 32 rounds were seized.
